A quartet with Jay, Muneer, Chique and Naweer. They have been around for sometime. Once in awhile they come up with fair tracks. They often mix some RnB and Rap with really catchy beats. One of their popular tracks includes Ogy Ahmad Daud. A remake of an old local favourite “Wajah Rahsia Hati” ost Ali Setan brings us to the video below…. updated by Urban Method to suit the current times. Can’t really say it made it but the balls to actually do a remake of a classic is commendable.
However it is not that I am making an example out of them but it is well known that to have a good track the easiest way is to sample or remake from a good song. Sadly many fall short and does the original no justice. It takes more than just slapping on the sample and adding a few additional beats. I take rappers are similar to storytellers. Incontext what Urban Method did was simply telling the same story again. Dude meets chick and yada yada yada… What they could have done is to flip the story a bit. Perhaps another time…. I think they got just there. But its the right state of mind and mix that should serve these boys better.
An angry emcee if you ask me but he does not sound half bad but he aint half good either…..been in the scene since way back in ‘97 (Ex Da’Joint). The issues are hard hitting…for the language used I do advise to watch and listen to this with no kids around. Don’t expect his tracks to make it on the radio.

However I don’t really like the idea of an open beef exhibited online. Never knew rappers would come this low. Perhaps MC Kerambit is too into the Gangsta Rapper ego. Read his open bitching here. Whatever it is… bring it somewhere people can’t find ‘em.
p/s: MC David did a commendable job in handling the situation.
Hova just did it…ha just had to do it. When a rocker questions a rappers cred this is what you get. Never mind the bad singing…the point was made that a classic rock song, Hip Hop can match that any day.
For aspiring rappers everywhere in the world that dreams to perform to mass crowds this is the way you should do it. Live band set-up is definitely the future of Hip Hop. Pardon me silly… I know the level I am referring to is unquestionably high but rappers are a cocky bunch…just like any rocker for that matter.
Jay Z aced this and at the same time helped those who dissed him make some extra dough off publishing. That was too kind of him. Noel….say gracias please.
