Alright…I have taken the liberty to do a ReverbNation playlist of Malique’s debut solo album.
OK has been out for more over a month and the reviews have been very positive. Is it a classic? I do think it deserves to be in the list of Must Have list for Malaysian Hip Hop heads.

So to those of you who are contemplating to get it or not give the 5 songs a listen. If you like 3 out of the 5 in the list then you should buy the album. It is hard to find an album with more than 2 good tracks. If you do buy it may I suggest to listen to it in sequence from front to back… CD 1 to CD 2.
Pay particular attention to a track called “Rasta Say”. Malique did a patua~ now that is revolutionary on our shores.

Second print should be out in September….so what is left are only in Rock Corner. Pity other record stores are not carrying this in their inventory. They don’t recognize what is music and what is not. Enjoy the 5 songs~ and get the original. Don’t snitch on the scene that educates you. You don’t get from Pop now do you?

MC David has definitely the right brains. The form of a online Malaysian Hip Hop community was all lost when Bazement shut down. But David came up with a novel idea…. I think an undying passion is one of the reasons for it too. So just open your preferred web browser and key in the address bar “www.malaysianhiphop.com” you will find a place where everything Hip Hop is in Malaysia could gather, make friends and educate each other for a better good.

I would personally like to congratulate MC David for such a commendable job, although somehow I head somewhere that some parties are not really happy with the name chosen. I wouldn’t worry about it too much because the point is very noble indeed. So if any of you wan to know what is cracking in Malaysian Hip Hop then bloody sign up.

It is a hilarious video….and listening to Snoop singing “Singh is King, Snoop Dogg is also King” got me rolling all over the floor. Fact, it is a very bad video~ But hey it is for Bollywood and for Snoop to be featured in an Asian let alone a Hindi movie soundtrack is totally awesome. Hear say he might even come down to India for a show.

How much did they pay Snoop can be anyone’s guess…. however I bet it is a massive hit in India and the airplay should be making Snoop bank balance nip a notch up or two. “Enjoy” the video… I did, with a slight cringe.
